Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukad is a government aided institution established in 1995 , affiliated to the university of Calicut. Prajyoti Niketan is a centre for research, training and services in holistic approach. The college provides value based education academic excellence and all around growth of the students.

The Department of Electronics was established in the year 1999. It is the youngest and the only aided Electronics course in Thrissur under Calicut University. The department provides quality education and academically strong platform for the aspiring graduates in the field of Electronics and Communication. To provide a strong software background the department offers computer science as a subsidiary subject.
