  • Department of English and IQAC to organised a one day regional webinar on ‘A Step Forward For Sustainable Future’ on November 13, 2021. Dr Meagle Joseph, Associate Professor, Dept of Post Harvest Technology, College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara was the Resource Person.

  • Under the Swachatha Action Plan of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India, the Field Outreach Bureau, Thrissur, IQAC and Quiz Club had jointly organised an Awareness programme on Corona and a General Knowledge Quiz Contest on November 30, 2021.

  • Inauguration of Hunger Hunt Project joining hands with Fr Davis Chiramal Charitable Trust under the auspices of IQAC and Jesus Youth on Dec 3, 2021.

  • World Disability Day commemorated by Dept of Psychology and IQAC on December 6, 2021.

  • To sign an MoU with Thrissur Management Associaton and initiate a Student Chapter on Dec 8, 2021. A Career Orientation Programme to be conducted as an activity on the same day.

  • A capacity building programme under the auspices of Adminsterial Staff and IQAC on Dec 13, 2021 titled ‘Audit and Admininstrative Procedures’ by Mr Pauly Raphael, Senior Superintendent (Rtd), Collegiate Education, Thrissur.

  • Research Methodology webinar by IQAC and Dept of English on Dec 14, 2021. Mr Amaldev P J, Asst Professor, Vimala College, Thrissur handled the session.

  • Food Festival and Art and Craft exhibition titled Cuisinekraft under the auspices of IQAC, Women’s Cell and Art and Craft Club on Dec 22, 2021.

  • Go Green initiative by Dept of English and IQAC on Dec 16, 2021. All the teachers of the Dept planted fruit trees in the college premises.

IQAC ACTIVITIES 2020-2021

  • An international webinar in association with the Research and PG Dept of Psychology titled ‘Hope, Resilience and Mindfulness Based Self Care Practices During Covid 19’ by Rev Fr Santhosh Jose (alumnus), Clinical Psychologist and Research Scholar, St Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas, USA on July 11, 2020.

  • A joined one week online FDP with the Dept of Computer Science on ‘User Friendly Tools for Online Teaching and Assessment’ from July 10 to July 16, 2020. The FDP is organized in the present Covid situation to extend hands on training to both the school and college teachers in the online teaching arena. The Dept of Computer Science has meticulously planned the various modules of the programme and successfully executed. Participants from all over the country had registered for the webinar.

IQAC ACTIVITIES 2019-2020

  • IQAC initiated its first programme of the Academic Year 2020-2021 by a one day Online Workshop on ‘Yoga and Healthcare’ for the Teaching and Non Teaching Staff of Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukad by Mr Amal Abraham (our alumnus) Yoga Instructor and Psychologist, Prana Yoga and Acupuncture Clinic, Bengaluru on May 17, Sunday, 2020.
    The workshop energized the participants and elaborated on the steps to improve the quality of our life – physical, mental and spiritual. The workshop had inspired the participants to practice yoga and thereby achieve self discipline and contentment which will lead to a happy life. E certificates were provided to the participants.

  • The second programme was a five-day FDP on Manging Online Classes and Content Development titled ‘Reconnect and Teach’ jointly with the Dept of Computer Science from May 25 to May 29, 2020. The Online FDP was handled by the teachers of the Dept of Computer Science. They gave demonstrations during the technical sessions and equipped all the teachers of Prajyoti Niketan College with the necessary digital skills to start online classes from June 1 onwards. This programme was timely and put all the teachers in good stead for the online classes during Covid period.

  • The third programme was a two-day webinar ‘A Conceptual Approach to Literature, Theory and Criticism’ in association with the Dept of English on June 25 and June 27, 2020. Dr C G Syamala, Research Guide, Post Graduate Dept of English and Research, Centre for Comparative Studies, Mercy College, Palakkad was the Resource Person. This was meant for the three batches of the students of the Dept of English. As the Resource Person delved deeper into the theories and approaches of Literary Criticism, the students found it extremely beneficial and fruitful. The practical session on the second day was equally energizing and helpful.
