The NSS Units 85&183 of Prajyoti Niketan College, in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), successfully conducted a blood donation camp on 15th November 2024 at the College Auditorium. The camp aimed to encourage students and staff to donate blood voluntarily, promoting the spirit of community service and contributing to the life-saving cause of blood donation.
- Total Donations: A total of 49 individuals donated blood, out of which 46 were students and 3 were faculty members.
- Health and Safety: The IMA team ensured strict adherence to hygiene and safety protocols during the entire process.
- Motivation and Awareness: The IMA representatives and NSS volunteers interacted with the participants, educating them about the benefits of blood donation and clearing common misconceptions.
- Refreshments: Donors were provided with refreshments and certificates of appreciation as a token of gratitude for their selfless contribution.
The camp concluded at 1:30 pm, and the collected blood units were handed over to the IMA team for distribution to hospitals and blood banks in need. The event was a resounding success, marked by the active participation of students and staff, demonstrating a strong sense of social responsibility.
